***Turn in your homework questions from the salting roads article***

Warm-Up Friday May 15, 2015:

1.  How much water must be added to 500. mL of 0.200M hydrochloric acid to produce a 0.150M solution?

2.If the boiling point of 69.6g of carbon tetrachloride must be raised by 10.2 degrees Celsius, how many grams of pyridine (C5H5N) must be dissolved in the carbon tetrachloride? (The boiling point elevation constant for carbon tetrachloride is 5.02.)

3.  A concentrated HCl solution contains 37.2% by mass HCl dissolved in water.  What mass of HCl is contained in 35.5g of the concentrated solution?

For your quiz today you need to know the formulas for molarity, molality, percent by mass/volume, and dilution.
