If you remember, we did not turn in Unit 5 notebooks to be graded before spring break. We are going to peer grade notebooks. You should start by putting your name on a piece of paper, then copy down the list below:
3/24 First Five Warm-Up (Empirical formula and avg. atomic mass problems)
3/25 Homework: Acids and Mixed Compounds Worksheet
3/26 Homework: Mixed Compounds Practice
3/27 Notes and Examples: Lewis Structures
3/30 Homework: Textbook Ch. 9 # 99-104
Give this list and your notebook to one of your peers for grading.
Once you get someone else’s list and notebook to grade, find each of the things on the list in their notebook and assign them a score. If they have done good work each assignment from the list is worth 3 points, so having all five assignments done completely in their notebook would earn them a grade of 15/15 which you would record on their assignment list for them to turn in. Remember that homework assignments should be completed in their entirety to earn full credit and notes should be thorough and include examples done in class to earn full credit. If you feel that an assignment has only been partially completed, you should use your discretion to take off 1 or 2 points for that particular assignment.
When the notebook has been graded a score should be written clearly on the assignment list and this should be turned in to the bin at the back of the room.
