Hopefully you did well on your test today! 🙂
You will need to learn the symbols and the names for the common elements. To help you study you will create a set of quizlet flashcards. Go to the website: www.quizlet.com In the upper right hand corner you will see the button to log in with google. You will use your UCPS student email info to log in. The site will ask you to enter your birthday to verify your account. When it asks if you want to upgrade your account and get Quizlet superpowers say no thanks and use the free account. Once you are logged in choose “Create a New Study Set.” Give your set the title “Elements and Symbols.” To make the flashcards you will type the symbol (with correct capitalization!) and then in the corresponding box you will type the full name of the element. Be sure to save your set. You can start now and if you need to finish the set later you can come back and edit it as long as you have saved,
You should create flashcards like this for all the elements #1-36 plus the following elements: strontium, silver, cadmium, tin, antimony, iodine, xenon, cesium, barium, tungsten, platinum, gold, mercury, lead, bismuth, radon, francium, radium, uranium, plutonium, and americium.
Whenever you have free time in class pull up your flashcards on quizlet and study your elements and symbols! We will be having a quiz on the elements and symbols soon!
